Established in 2002, the Emergency Management Spatial Information Network Australia (EMSINA) is a vibrant and active group of spatial practitioners in the emergency management sector Government Agencies. Members are committed to improving safety for Australians through the use of sound decision-making supported by spatial information technologies.
Our mission on behalf of Australia’s emergency management community, EMSINA will:
- Promote and encourage the use of spatial information to support decision making
- Provide strategic advice and direction on spatial issues
- Facilitate the sharing of spatial information resources and knowledge
- Encourage partnerships with the spatial industry
EMSINA’s presence at the AFAC conference is to showcase today’s examples of the use and growing demands on mapping and location technologies. Through our demonstration booth in the AFAC exhibit hall, presentations and professional development workshop, EMSINA utilises the AFAC conference as our key platform to deliver our Group’s Vision of ‘Improved emergency management through the use of spatial information’.
EMSINA members are supported by ESRI Australia for this event and we encourage all attending AFAC22 to call past and share stories, learnings and demonstrations in spatial technologies for emergency services.
